Memphis Medical Awareness Club at Hutchison School

Susan is speaking to the to the high school students at the Memphis Medical Awareness Club at Hutchison School at 12 p.m. on January 30. Each month the club focuses on a different disease. For January, it’s Alzheimer’s. Susan will be talking about her book TANGLES AND PLAQUES: A MOTHER AND DAUGHTER FACE ALZHEIMER’S. Susan is a member of AlzAuthors.com, a group of over 150 authors who have published books about various aspects of caregiving for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Sophie Mansour, a junior at Hutchison who started the club, is Susan’s Goddaughter.
Sophie competed with five other Memphis high school students at “Youth Ignite Memphis” in November of 2019, and won a $500 grant to help her promote medical awareness to the larger Memphis community.
